Only CD7 and cytoplasmic CD3 are considered lineage specific of the T-cell CD markers (CD1a, CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5, CD7, and CD8).
CD4 and CD8 co-expression is not specific and may be seen in other T-cell disorders such as T-PLL. CD10 expression may also be seen in peripheral T-cell lymphomas (e.g. angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma).
